Bridge over the Saka River
Upesmuižas parks, Pāvilosta, Dienvidkurzemes novads
The rope bridge is located in the Upesmuiža park!
The current cable bridge was built in 1971 on the initiative of Dzintra Grimstas, the chairman of the executive committee of Pāvilosta at that time. The previous suspension bridge was worn out and could no longer be used by residents. From 1954 to 1996, there was a hospital on the left bank of the Saka River. A rope bridge that connected the two banks of the Saka River made it easier for residents to get to it.
