Durbe's mound walking trail
The walking trail leads along Durbe's mound and Durbe's pond. In the 13th century, a battle took place here between the combined troops of the German Livonian Order and the Žemaish, whose side the Kurs conscripted into the order's troops also defected. The ruins of the castle of the German order built in the 14th century can also be seen on the Durbe hill.
On the top of Pilskalns, there is a viewing platform built, which allows you to observe the magnificent landscape of Durbe's surroundings. Pilskalnis has benches with tables where you can have picnics.
The trail is 1.8 km long and the recommended starting point for the walk is from the Durbe Museum.
