Lazas - Padure Manor
The restoration of Lažas–Padure Manor (Laschen) took place in the 1870s, during which a park with an artificially dug pond was established. The manor of the barons von Osten–Sacken is located in the center of the park, where several rare tree species grow. After the agrarian reform of the first period of Latvian independence in 1920, the manor's land was distributed to Latvian freedom fighters. In 1929, the manor was allocated for the establishment of a school. Since 1969, the building has housed a special boarding school serving children with intellectual disabilities.
