The Durbes Lake Observation Tower

The observation tower is located 1.5 kilometers from the Riga-Liepaja highway, and it can be accessed by driving along the Aistere road (V1202). The tower stands 10 meters tall, offering a wide view of the lake, its surroundings, and the town of Durbes. Next to the observation tower, there is a parking lot, a toilet, three tables, and trash bins. The toilet and one of the tables are suitable for people with mobility impairments.
Durbes Lake is home to many different bird species, making the observation tower an excellent spot for birdwatching. From the tower, you can enjoy a wide view of the lake itself and the reed-covered shores, which birds use for nesting during spring. This well-equipped area on the western shore of the lake is an ideal place for peaceful relaxation.
