Kupšu-Ķieģeļnieku Elku Hillfort

This ancient cult site is located near the former Kupši homestead. Walking through this area, one can observe a peculiar air circulation—despite a complete lack of wind, a breeze can be heard, and the bush clusters sometimes bend in completely opposite directions due to the wind. In the Kupšu-Ķieģeļnieku Elku hill area, unusual natural phenomena can be observed: the formation of air vortices, thunderstorms on a clear day, and a clear echo heard simultaneously from various directions. A majestic linden tree grows here, with an undetermined number of branches. 

There are speculations that, thousands of years ago, there may have been an amphitheater here, as the area has a unique acoustics—an echo resounds from various sides at the same time. In certain spots, the air shimmers enticingly, creating the impression that an "entrance" will open beneath the hill.
