Rokaižu Manor
Rokaiži Manor (Rokaischen) belonged to the Baron Hāns family. In 1846, the prominent Latvian folklorist Fricis Brīvzemneks was born in the family of the Rokaiži manor innkeeper, Treiland. At the end of the Rokaiži street, there is a monument where the punishment expedition hanged teacher Juris Zinbergs – one of the main organizers of the 1905 revolution and a leading member of the Latvian Social Democratic Workers' Party in the Aizpute region. Since 1946, the manor house has been serving as the "Rokaiži" nursing home for the elderly.
