Valts Grove
Valta Grove is a park of oak trees planted in the 1920s–1930s, covering an area of over 40 hectares within the territory of Priekule, near the guesthouse "Ābols." The park is especially beautiful during the blooming season of anemones. It is suitable for walking, sports activities for pedestrians and cyclists, and a great spot for quiet and peaceful enjoyment of nature.
During the Soviet era, this place was called the Komsomol Park and served as Priekule's cultural and recreational hub in the open air. At that time, dance evenings, theater performances, and concerts featuring popular musicians were held here. It was a favorite relaxation spot for the town's residents and members of the local military unit, offering opportunities for swimming, fishing, walking, nut gathering, and, occasionally, a little mischief.
