This place is filled with tears and tragedies, as in 1905, the peasants who participated in the burning of the manor houses were executed here by shooting.
In 1941, local people were gathered here before being deported to Siberia. The Dāma pine stood for decades as a pillar and a mighty symbol of the village, until it was felled by a storm in 1958. It also served as a meeting place for many lovers.
