Wall painting
Using the sketches of the Canadian artist Silvija Bordas, a wall painting was created in the building of the residence center SERDE on Atmodas street 11. The painting was created by the Canadian film artist Reiner Derdo based on the artist's sketch. Silvija Borda has visited Aizpute several times as part of the "Frontiers in Retreat" project, and she was inspired by the old apple orchards of Aizpute for this idea. The artist has developed sketches for Atmodas and Kalvenes street buildings, which could be painted with apple and apple blossom motifs in the future.
