Rokaižu manor
Rokaižu manor (Rokaischen) belonged to the family of barons Han. In 1846, the famous Latvian folklorist Fricis Brīvzemneks was born in the family of Treilandas, an innkeeper of Rokaižu manor. At the end of Rokaižu street there is a monument where the punitive expedition hanged the teacher Juri Zinberg - one of the main organizers of the 1905 riots and leading members of the LSDSP in Aizpute district. Since 1946, the "Rokaiži" nursing home for the elderly has been operating in the manor house.
