Jūrmalciems network house "Piestātne"

This pearl of Jūrmalciems is a collection of fishing cultural heritage, skills and traditions. Once upon a time, Jūrmalciems fishermen used the "Piestatni" as a place to remove fish from the nets after fishing. It is for this reason that this building was popularly called the net house, although historically it was called the netting workshop. Currently, the association "Jūrmalciema valgums" operates in Tīklu house "Piestātne", which ensures that the building is accessible to visitors, various events and exhibitions, educational master classes take place there. Visitors can view an exposition dedicated to fishermen, where they can learn about fishing traditions and history in Jūrmalciems.
