Bernātu Nature Park
Every nature lover can walk 7 cognitive trails in the Bernātu Nature Park.
Within the framework of the project "Dienvidkurzeme Coastal Heritage through the Centuries", 7 cognitive nature trails have been created, where there are a total of 151 newly created natural objects. They are related to ancient Latvian culture, mythology, signs and traditions. They were created by two sculptors Đirts Burvis and Gaits Burvis. Each cognitive trail is different and invites you to experience different feelings and activities. Climb up to look at the tops of the trees from the observation tower, which is made in a special boat shape, cross the bridge with expressive characters waiting at each end of it, or simply have a peaceful picnic in one of the well-maintained places.
Each of the 7 paths is dedicated to a deity:
Sun trail (yellow) - you can meet many sandy dunes and a lookout tower in the shape of a boat;
Lime trail (red) - the central trail that winds through the entire territory of the park;
Thunder trail (purple) - there are two trails, each at its end of the park, associatively reminding two lightning bolts;
Jumīš taka (in orange) - if you want to cross the bridge, passing through two wooden sculptures/figures with an impressive view, then you should go here;
Mara trail (green) - the longest trail (1.4 km), which surprises with scenic views and reliefs;
Moon trail (blue) - if you want to swing, you should go here;
God's path (white) - the shortest, but the most powerful, because it is located in a valley between two high dunes. There are only two benches on the trail that invite visitors to sit down, indulge in contemplative thoughts and enjoy the majesty of this place.
