In the village of Sikšņi, in honor of Latvia's centenary, one of the 100 oak trees of the "Hug Latvia" campaign was planted in 2017, symbolically strengthening the border of the Latvian state. Next to the centenary oak, a sculpture has been placed, telling the story of the traditions and history of the Dunikas Parish. Meanwhile, in Brūnu Birze, there is an opportunity to walk barefoot along a 70-meter-long trail, featuring various natural materials. Among the tall birches, colorful hammocks offer a moment to rest and enjoy the peace of nature and the songs of the birds.
