The church, built in 1651, is the oldest building in Durbē. The church's interior has been well preserved over time: the altar and pulpit with wood carvings, an impressive chandelier made in 1609, an ancient baptismal font, clay floor tiles, and the organ. The church is located in the very center of the town, and at the entrance doors of the Durbē church, there is a commemorative stone created and donated by sculptor Mirdza Lukaža. A prior appointment is required to visit the interior of the church.
