The museum was founded in 1992 and is located in the former manor’s alcohol distillery. It preserves the historical evidence of its native village. Here, you can explore the exhibition "Vērgale Through the Ages," dedicated to the history of the parish and its development.
Visitors to the museum can learn about agricultural tools and household items made in Vērgale, as well as the rows woven into the communal floor pathway on the loom.
On the first floor of the building, there is an open storage collection, and regular thematic and art exhibitions are displayed in the exhibition hall. The atmosphere of the past is evoked by tales and legends in the unique mantel chimney, one of the largest in Courland.
