Bārta Museum

Bārta Museum – a place where you can not only explore and rediscover the Bārta folk costume but also try it on. Learn about the history of Bārta, its people, and significant events. Visitors can try basic weaving skills on looms, and children can color and take home paper dolls dressed in Bārta folk costumes.

Opening hours:

• 1 May – 30 September: Tuesday to Friday: 10:00–16:00, Saturday: 11:00–16:00
• 1 October – 30 April: Tuesday to Friday: 10:00–16:00, Every 3rd Saturday of the month: 10:00–14:00

Fees:

• Museum visit: €3.00; families with a 3+ card: 50% discount; students, seniors, and people with disabilities (group 3): €1.00.
• Exhibition visit: €1.00; families with a 3+ card: 50% discount; students, seniors, and people with disabilities (group 3): €0.50.
• Free admission: Preschool children, people with disabilities (groups 1 and 2), museum workers in Latvia, educational lessons for schools in the South Kurzeme municipality, and ICOM members
