The private antiquities collection “Ģildēni”

“Ģildēni”, Tadaiķi, Bunkas pagasts, Dienvidkurzemes novads

A mid-19th-century countryside farmstead that could be compared to the Courland farmstead at the Latvian Ethnographic Open-Air Museum. The house has preserved all its auxiliary buildings. In the granary, a collection of antiquities found on the 18-hectare territory of the “Ģildēni” property has been arranged. This collection of old items provides insight into agricultural production and various household objects once used, typical of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
