The Kazdanga Museum is housed in the Kazdanga Palace. It was built at the beginning of the 19th century and belonged to very rich and politically influential Kurzeme barons - the Manteifelis. Kazdang Palace is still considered one of the most magnificent examples of classicism in Kurzeme. Many similarities with Mežotne Castle can be seen in its design and layout.
In the museum, you can see and learn about the exposition of the forest, interesting testimonies about the history and farming of the Baron Manteifelis family in Kazdanga, the activity of the Kazdanga technical school and the wealth of trees in the Kazdanga park.
