Kazdanga Park is the largest in Latvia (~196ha) and offers ample opportunities to "stretch your legs". With the construction of the new lake footbridge and observation tower, visitors have an excellent opportunity to combine nature trails in both parts of the park (part of the Valata park and Šefer's grove) on both sides of the Kazdanga Dzirnavezera. The length of the route can be varied, as there are many well-trodden paths in the park, but the informative signs placed at each stage and the trail markings painted on the trees with yellow, green and red signs will help you navigate. Several resting places are available along the way. The route includes an old manor park with various exotic tree species and large trees, a fish pond, a lake, a river, a conifer forest. There are many hollow trees in the area. The part of the Valata park is characterized by a more complex terrain and ravines. A total of 154 bird species were observed along the route. Great variety of nesting birds. During the day, various bird species can be observed throughout the year.
Certain sections of the trail (including the lake footbridge) are also accessible to people in wheelchairs and parents with prams.
We can offer an orientation game and a picnic area along the route. Hikes and activities of different length and duration (~ 1-3 h). Guide services: 25.00 EUR per group. Guide services with games: 1.50 euros per person.
