Getting There: The starting point is in the center of Grobiņa. You can reach it by bus or private car, with several parking options available.
Route Description:
This cycling route is designed for a relaxed two-day adventure through the southern part of Grobiņa municipality. We recommend staying overnight at the "Ods" recreation base, located halfway along the route. The route passes all the major landmarks of the region.

Points of Interest:
Grobiņa Castle Ruins – The construction of the medieval castle dates back to the mid-13th century, first mentioned in historical records in 1253. The current stone structure was built in 1328. It was a significant military fortress for centuries until it lost its importance after conflicts in 1795 and 1812. Medieval walls, 17th-century bastions, and protective ditches have been preserved.
Railway Bridge over the Otaņķe River
Gavieze Station – Opened in 1871 on the closed Liepāja-Vaiņode railway line. Initially called "Grobin," it underwent several name changes before becoming Gavieze. The building is now inhabited.
Krūte-Bārta Evangelical Lutheran Church – A 17th-century architectural monument of national significance. It retains its original altar and pulpit. Remarkably, the church is wooden with a stone tower, and old German baron graves can be found nearby. Visits require prior arrangement: +371 29439220
Bārta Museum – Established in 1985 to explore the local history of Bārta. Accredited in 2004, the museum’s collection grew from 597 to 1,323 items by 2009, +371 28687254
Bārta Catholic Church – Consecrated in 2002, it evolved from a planned chapel into a full church through the efforts of parish members.
Memorial Stone for Arvīds Manfelds – Honoring the leader of the regional land improvement company for his contributions to local roads and bridges.
Vīles Bridge – Originally built of wood in 1916 by Germans for a narrow-gauge railway. The current structure retains its historic significance.
